A Native American buckskin shirt of the Sioux
Buckskin shirt with stand-up collar and front button placket with four mother-of-pearl buttons (one damaged), the front button placket and the upper back section as well as the button cuffs with fine embroidery made from porcupine quills. Shoulders, sleeves and hem decorated with fringes. Inside adhesive label, inscribed "Ft. Beck Mon Shirt of Lone Dog Chief of Sioux P.EHS.", outside attached collection label, inscribed "Buckskin Shirt of late Chief Lone Dog Fort Peck Mont.". Length 96 cm.
