The front of a forehead tile depicting a female face, late 6th century B.C.
Front of an outermost tile depicting a female face. Strands of the wavy hairstyle fall in front of the ears and over the forehead. On the left side, two long strands falling onto the shoulder are visible behind the ears. The finely modeled face with an archaic smile. Painting in good condition. Dark color clearly visible on the hairstyle, eyes and mouth, and the painted eyebrows are also clearly visible.
Height 17 cm, width 17 cm, depth 16 cm.
Provenance: Berlin private collection. Taken over from the parents' possessions, acquired in 1980 by the father in the Swiss art trade (Galeria Casa Serodine).
