An ancient oriental mace decorated with incised lines, late 2nd - early 1st millennium B.C.
Cylindrical shaft with disc terminal at bottom, the triple-stepped top leading to a quadrangular, slightly broadening head. The opposite sides decorated in the same pattern. Two sides with three solar discs, surmounted by a herringbone frieze. Two sides with vertically arranged scales, surmounted by solar disc. Surface covered with a red-brown copper layer mottled with green oxide spots. Shaft broken in the middle and expertly restored. Length 48.3 cm.
