A gray field cap for members of the k.u.k. Infantry, circa 1916
Coarse field gray wool fabric, peak made of coarse leather-like material, florets ("K") and smooth buttons made of gray metal. Worn natural-colored linen lining with several blue ink stamps (illegible), brown sweatband made of oilcloth (heavily rubbed). Slightly damaged, signs of age. From the short reign of Emperor Charles I.
