Henri Ratovo (1881-1929), born in Ambohidava-Tsirangaina (Arivonimamo-member of the "Artistes français", was awarded the Medal of the Colonial and International Exhibitions of Marseille and Paris in 1931 by the International Jury. His first successes date back to 1909, when he won 1st Prize at the Art Malgache exhibition held in Tananarive.
