Magnificent mantel clock on a porcelain base. Two-piece; rectangular, curved, profiled base, flattened at the corners. Architecturally structured baluster body on four pressed leaf volutes, crowned by an oval, bulbous lidded vase. Relief decoration on all sides consisting of extended, leaf-relief corner pilaster strips, cherub and female mascaron heads, gold-ornamented blue and white drapery, latticework and a cross-band border. Rich gold staffage with gold etchings. Glazed porcelain dial with Roman numerals. Gilt brass bezel and hands. Half-hour strike on bell. Plate inscribed "Lenzkirch AGU 1 Million" with serial no. 9830028. designed around 1775. model no. 635. year letter. Sceptre and painter's marks. H. 35 cm.
