After the original work adorning the Bosquet de la Salle de bal in Versailles (Musée national des châteaux de Versailles et Trianon), produced in 1682-1683. Mentioned as bronzed as early as 1686, painted "couleur de bronze" in 1702 and gilded in 2001, our vase is represented here by an unpatinated plaster.
