L'Idéal shotgun from the Manufacture française d'armes et cycles de Saint-Etienne, lunettes trigger guard model, 16-75 caliber, 730 mm "Damascus lightning bolt" table top barrels, marked under the band "1891" (year of manufacture), round Damascus rocker, well marked "L'Idéal" in an oval, gilt double trigger under double Damascus trigger guard, key opening sliding under the trigger guard, 355 mm English grip, with MF (Manufacture Française) engraved buttplate and winding sling, traces of use to the wood and oxidation, small bumps to the barrels, LT 1140 mm, n° 1273 Category D (1889 patent, rifle produced in 1891).
