Italian School of the 19th century Madonna of tenderness with the archangels Michael and Gabriel oil on panel gold background 185x75x18 cm Triptych in gilded wood in neo-Gothic style; the central niche delimited by two twisted columns, has a cusped cymatium crossed by vegetal reliefs, bordered by high pinnacles. The two side doors are characterized by four-lobed rosettes arranged in a grid. The work can be traced back to Florentine production in the second half of the nineteenth century which recovered the Gothic style both in architecture and in painting, where, referring in taste and technique above to the Florentine production of the 12th-14th centuries, it proposed religious subjects on tables with a gold background, recovering the value of this precious element, symbol of divinity.
