Corneille (Guillaume Cornelis van Beverloo) (1922 Liège/Belgium - 2010 Auvers-sur-Oise/France) "Féérie bresilienne" (Brazilian magic world). Original title Color silkscreen/Arches-Velin, 1995. sign. a. dat. (19)96, inscribed "EA". Print outside the edition of 200 copies, published by Galerie Moderne Silkeborg. Extremely large-format, imaginative, expressive work characterized by strongly coloured flatness by the artist who, together with Pierre Alechinsky, Karel Appel, Constant, Asger Jorn and K. O. Götz, belonged to the legendary avant-garde artist group "CoBrA", which existed from 1948 to 1951. Corneille was a participant in documenta II and III (1959 and 1964) in Kassel. Image approx. 127 cm x 96 cm; sheet approx. 140 cm x 101 cm. Frame. Serigraph (screenprint) in colors on Arches wove paper, 1995. Hand-signed dated (19)96 and inscribed "EA". Print aside from the edition of 200, published by Galerie Moderne, Silkeborg.
