Extremely large-format, imaginative, expressive work characterized by strongly coloured flatness by the artist who, together with Pierre Alechinsky, Karel Appel, Constant, Asger Jorn and K. O. Götz, belonged to the legendary avant-garde artist group "CoBrA", which existed from 1948 to 1951. Corneille was a participant in documenta II and III (1959 and 1964) in Kassel.
