Important large porcelain cassette with soft painting
Porcelain, pale yellow onglaze ground, colored onglaze decoration with white relief heightening, relief gilding, gilded brass, probably original velvet over upholstery. Model 3117 "Jewelry box in the shape of a chest of drawers", fired in two parts and mounted. Richly decorated in relief with volutes, foliate decoration and rocailles, two winged angel heads on the two front upper corners. Three surrounding floral still lifes in rocaille frames. A cupid on flowers on the lid. The metal hinge with corresponding engraved decoration and inscribed in the center "KOENIGL. PORZELLAN MANUFACTUR BERLIN". Blue sceptre mark with a blue mordant, red imperial orb mark, remnants of a gold painter's mark. One rocaille broken off at the upper right rear corner, chips to the leaf tips at the lower front left and rear right. H 30.5, W 52.5, D 25.5 cm.
