Pair of ceremonial girandoles with soft painting
Porcelain, colored overglaze decoration, gilding, fire-gilt bronze. Model 3157, five-flame candlestick with eaves bowls and bronze tendril arms on four vegetal acanthus feet. Fired in several parts and screwed/plugged. Twisted rococo form with applied sculptural leaves and flowers, also finely painted with small bouquets of flowers in typical polychrome. Blue sceptre and W (?) mark, red imperial orb mark, impressed marks 157, V and V, enamel 72. Chips and retouches, several eaves bowls restored. H 61 cm.
