The plates are from the dessert service designed for the personal use of King Louis-Philippe at Trianon Palace. The order was placed with the manufactory in 1845 and production continued until 1847. The king had similar services in each of his châteaux, in the Tuileries, the Château de Fontainebleau, the Château d'Eu and for the Pavillon de Breteuil in the Château de Saint-Cloud, each bearing a different château stamp.
