Cup for King Frederick William I.
Discolored glass with olive blanching, cut and matt deep cut. Plate foot with scalloped rim, faceted baluster stem with numerous bubble inclusions, conical bowl. Profile portrait in armor framed with trophies. Slightly glassy. H 22.2 cm.
Potsdam glassworks, after 1715.
The depiction of the king goes back to a medal by Friedrich Marl from 1715.
