Large "Augustus-Rex lidded vase" in the Meissen style, probably Helena Wolfsohn, Dresden, late 19th century, Porcelain with gold staffage and polychrome painting, baluster shape with two handles shaped as female busts in the style of figureheads, the sides of the lid pierced in a heart shape and with a gilded tenon handle, pointed base with three baluster-shaped, canted feet, brick-red ground with two almost round, high-oval reserves with gallant, polychrome fête champêtre scenes and gold painting, one foot glued and with corresponding chips, the pointed base with underglaze blue imitating Augustus Rex mark, h: 33 cm.
