Bernard BOUTET DE MONVEL and others, Set of paper photographs taken during the First World War, size approx. 8 x 14 cm, circa 1914-1918 [More than 50 documents] Lot composed of various photographs taken by Bernard Boutet de Monvel, and his entourage, some of which feature him. Almost all of these photographs bear a handwritten note by the artist on the back, indicating the place, date and identity of the persons. Some illustrate life on the military camp with his comrades and friends, others destruction, inhabitants of towns in Morocco where Bernard stayed during this period and photographs of meetings between officers or important personalities (Joffre, Poincaré, King of the Belgians...). There are also a few "mises au carreau" among the lot. (Lot sold as is)
