Large in-8, edition illustrated with 62 medallion portraits engraved by Levachez, each portrait overlooking an important scene in the life of the character engraved in etching by Duplessi-Berteaux from his drawings. The engravings are cut and mounted on strong paper. Also included are portraits of Victor Moreau, Lucien Bonaparte and Napoleon, simply captioned by name.
