A student of André LHOTE (1885-1962), Blanche Husek, along with other painters such as Marcelle Rivier, Alexandre Garbell and Gustave Bolin, belonged to the group of "Peintres de Mirmande" who stayed with the Master in his house, purchased in 1926 in the Drôme village. She joined her master in 1930, having cycled from Paris before acquiring a farm in Les Tourettes, where she devoted herself to farming and painting.
