Elvira Giblescu Bibescu was a painter born into an important Romanian family. Cula Izvoranu-Geblescu, one of the most important fortified houses in southern Romania, belonged to Elvira Bibescu.
Elvira Giblescu Bibescu moved to Paris and studied at the Académie André Lhote, 18 rue d'Odessa. In 1926, the Académie André Lhote held an exhibition (1st group) featuring, among others, Elvire Geblesco.
