The author Martin Gerbert (1720-1793) was a Benedictine monk, prince abbot of the monastery of St. Blasien and of great importance as a music historian. - Former library copy with stamp and spine signatures. Bindings slightly rubbed and bumped. Paper somewhat yellowed. Otherwise excellent condition: binding tight, boards and text in excellent and fresh condition.
