Rare commentary on Aristotle, the author was an Italian theologian, philosopher and, among other things, holder of the chair of philosophy at the Sapienza University in Rome. (USTC 819369). - ╔II.╗ A discussion of Cicero's work by the Portuguese bishop and historian Jeronio Osorio (1506-80), first published in 1549, here in the Florentine edition of 1552 (USTC 845587). - Binding rubbed, waterstained in places, front hinge cracked. With marginalia and annotations in an old hand. Former library copy with stamp and spine signature of a dissolved monastery.
