A green morocco case for a table medal, the lid stamped in gold with the attribution "Banque de Paris et des Pays-Bas - Mr Albert Sarraut ministre des Colonies". SUP
Provenance: Albert Sarraut (1872-1962), famous French politician. Governor General of Indochina from 1911 to 1914, then from 1916 to 1919, Minister of Colonies from 1920 to 1924, then in 1932 and 1933, several times Minister of the Navy and Minister of the Interior, he briefly headed two governments of the Third Republic in 1933 and 1936. He was a Member of Parliament and then Senator for Aude from 1902 to 1945. He was deported by the Germans in 1944. After the war, still committed to colonial policy, he presided over the Assemblée de l'Union française from 1951
