Complete collection of this magnificent magazine of fashion and frivolities illustrated by the greatest artists of the period, including Charles Martin, George Barbier, Léon Bakst, Umberto Brunelleschi, etc. Ill. with 186 color plates (complete, numbered 1-184, 2 unnumbered). Limited edition of 1279 copies (issues with variable numbering). Complete with preface, 4-page advertising "Supplément" for each issue, halftone plate for issue no. 1 and 2 etchings (one by Martin, the other by Barbier). Founded by Tommaso Antongini, this quarterly takes its title from the periodical published from 1797 to 1839, and was distributed from 1912 to 1914. Contributors include Anatole France (preface no. 1), Jean Cocteau (poem in no. 2), Henri Duvernois, Bernard Boutet de Montvel, Louise Delarue-Mardrus, Fernand Vandérem and others.
