DE COSTER, Charles Sire Halewijn. This legend, taken from Légendes flamandes, is adorned with thirteen illustrations composed and woodcut by Franz Masereel. (Brussels) Institut Supérieur des Arts Décoratifs (1928) In-fr. Paperback, blue paper with gilt titling. In publisher's slipcase (slightly worn, small tears in some places). First and only edition of Masereel's 13 woodcuts in texto of varying sizes. Edition of 350 copies numbered on Pannekoek vellum and composed in "uncial" (no. 96). Monogrammed by Henri van de Velde on the front cover. Beautiful publication printed in black and azure, the 2nd produced by the Friends of the Institut supérieur des Arts décoratifs (La Cambre) founded by van de Velde. Ref. Avermaete C-40 (66).
