A Meissen figure of an Albanian soldier, circa 1750
Modelled by J.J. Kaendler and P. Reinicke, holding a musket, wearing a yellow-edged blue hat, puce tunic, yellow sash with a dagger and hung with a sword, white breeches and yellow shoes, the base applied with leaves and flowers, 20.5cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to rear of base (rifle restuck in the middle and dagger sheath restuck)
