Meissen porcelain statuette of a Turkish woman, circa 1750 A Meissen figure of a Turkish woman, circa 1750 Modelled by J.F. Eberlein, wearing a white headdress with gilt-edged puce flaps, a gilt-edged, turquoise-lined white coat over a brown tunic and yellow platform shoes, and holding a yellow flag, 15cm high, faint crossed swords mark in blue (some restoration) Footnotes: After an engraving by Caspar Luyken, Eine Türkin im Haus, after Johannes de Ram and published by Christoph Wiegel, Neu-eröffnete Welt-Galleria [...], published in Nuremberg in 1703. The figure is listed in Eberlein's work records in 1743 and January 1744: 'Ein Türckisch Frauenzimmer verfertigt' [completed a figure of a Turkish woman]; quoted by S.-K.
