2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY Midget Window Card (9" x 14.5") Fine on Paper; Artwork by Robert McCall MGM, 1968 There is a small chip in the upper left corner. The poster has been restored onto new chipboard. Stanley Kubrick's sublime sci-fi masterpiece elevated the genre from a B-movie staple previously typified by flying saucers and monsters. Dealing with deep philosophical concepts (not least the impact of artificial intelligence on human evolution) and changing the game for visual effects (under the supervision of FX master Douglas Trumbull), it remains an unforgettable cinematic experience.
