MAY London Mid 18th century Silver watch with double case. Hinged outer case with repoussé back. Smooth inner case with square winding mechanism. Enamel dial with polychrome center depicting a maritime scene, Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic for the minutes, railroad minute track (hands missing). Mechanical movement with key winding, verge escapement, chased and pierced "continental" cock, spiral balance, spindle without chain, setting disk, signature on plate.
