Sadi CARNOT, Marie François (1837-1894). French statesman, son of Hippolyte Carnot and grandson of Lazare Carnot. Several times a minister, he became President of the Republic in 1887. He was assassinated by the anarchist Caserio at the 1894 Universal and Colonial Exhibition in Lyon. - L.a.s.
