According to the studies conducted by Guido Donatone on Neapolitan earthenware produced between the end of the 18th and the middle of the 19th century, 1810 was the year in which the joint activity of the Migliuolo and Giustiniani factories began.
Both factories are located in Via Marinella a few house numbers away and in the 1810 Exhibition they were rewarded with a bronze medal presenting ceramic artefacts unmistakably marked FMGN. In the Migliuolo - Giustiniani decorative repertoire, a certain fortune must have been achieved by the decoration on pottery of the "Vestiture del Regno" even if in a simplified version compared to the well-known models of the Royal Factory. A series of elegant dishes is then decorated with single subjects of common people in regional costume, but includes figures of bourgeois, military and ancient warriors.
