FRENCH SCHOOL Mid-17th century Sainte Geneviève, patron saint of Paris. She is shown seated next to her sheep, holding a long candle which a demon is trying to extinguish, but which an angel is holding alight. Oil on copper. (Gaps towards the middle, top right and bottom right). H. 23.5 - L. 18 cm Wood and gilded stucco frame with oak leaf and acorn motif.
