Bidjar rug (cotton warp and weft, wool pile), Northwest Persia, circa 1940-1970

The rug features a large central elongated medallion in red, enhanced by an ivory hexagon and extended by two pendants. The whole is set on an ivory background with polychrome geometric floral decoration.
A red border with multicolored floral motifs is framed by two ivory counter-borders.
