Large, straight, curved desk in richly veneered wood with diamond
inlaid with lozenges in curved reserves and end-wood
wood surrounds. It opens with two leaves at the bottom, revealing two drawers and two compartments, and with a black leather-trimmed flap at the top (worn) revealing nine compartments and four small drawers. One of the drawers is fitted with a brass writing set. Small arched legs.
Brown veined marble top (restored).
Ornamented with chased and gilded bronzes such as leafy falls and key escutcheons topped by a ducal crown.
