19th CENTURY ECOLE after Antique
Medici vase
Patinated bronze, with two handles, decorated with a frieze depicting a Bacchanal, foliage and a pedestal with canals.
With a few minor details, this vase is based on the vase corresponding to n°231 of the Bronzes de la Couronne from the Le Nôtre collection, made between 1673 and 1693 and bequeathed to Louis XIV in 1693.
It also refers to the Vase (Musée du Louvre, inv.: MR 985.)
