Exceptional Mazarin bureau forming a cabinet in "Boulle" marquetry in part and in counterpart of pewter, rosewood and ebony. The upper part opens to a central recessed door, framed by twelve drawers, topped by a curved cornice. A sliding shelf reveals three interior drawers and a sheathed worktop that closes at the front, simulating a drawer. The belt opens to three drawers, the middle one being recessed. It stands on eight sheathed legs joined by "H"-shaped braces, adorned with carved and gilded wood capitals and bases. The three sides are richly decorated with rosettes, rosettes, acanthus leaves, medallions, rows of fleurons and rows of tracery. Chased ormolu handles decorated with acanthus buds. The drawers are quarter-mounted in oak.
