Francesca RICARDONI, CRYSTAL, 2022, Acrylic on canvas and mixed media, 50 x 35cm. Francesca Ricardoni lives and works in Ajaccio. An art enthusiast with a keen interest in aesthetics in general, she decided to take the plunge into creation a few years ago. "My compositions are instinctive and rather abstract, if that still makes sense, i.e. my canvases rarely represent anything identifiable with reality. My work is often graphic and colorful, alternating with "figurative revisited and metaphorical abstraction, with geometric constructions sometimes close to cubism", as one island journalist put it. I always give priority to spontaneity, material and color. I work a lot with knives, acrylics and oils.
