Since 1988 he begins to be fascinated by new materials and new objects that enter powerfully in his new compositions, disassembles pieces of electronic components, boards and microchips that he finds inside of photocopy machines and computers in disuse in the cemeteries of electronics takes possession of porcelain insulators, electrical cables, traffic lights, coils and assembles them in works of considerable size.
In 1990, pointed out by Renato Barilli, he participated in the Venice Biennale: Aperto 90. Barilli theorizes the concept of 'cold baroque,' referring to the general climate in those years, concluding his long theoretical exscursus on Abate, Arienti, Jannini, Cavenago.
