Large Spanish silver tureen for Alfonso XIII punched... Lot 1177

Large Spanish silver tureen for Alfonso XIII punched Law 916 by silversmith A. Muñoz first third of the 20th century. The tureen rests on a base that in turn is placed on a large presentation plate. All the pieces have the Spanish royal coat of arms engraved, the base has it at the bottom, mounted on a Calatrava cross that is engraved independently on the back of the tureen. The King was a member of said order and we assume it was a gift from it to His Majesty. The chiseled decoration is based on rockery, cartouches and vegetal scrolls with an urn-shaped knob. Weight: 10,367 Kg. Measurements: 62.5; 10 x 56 and 34 x 32 x 45 x 45 cm
