Large sheet embroidered with a ship in the setting sun, Italy, 1st half 20th century. A rare wide linen sheet of fine finesse, the center embroidered with soft sprays of foliage and flowers in full bloom on either side of an embroidered cartouche of a ship, a flagship sailing on the waves, birds taking flight and a setting sun on the horizon. Width 2.70 m (good condition, small stains and a few halos)
