An earthenware contourné plate with polychrome counter-revolutionary decoration of two arms armed with sabers protecting three fleurs-de-lis, draperies above. The decoration is said to symbolize the bodyguard banquet held in Versailles on October 2, 1789, during which the national cockade was trampled underfoot.
