Sculptor and goldsmith Claude LALANNE (1925-2019) drew her inspiration from nature, producing organic jewelry that combines the rigidity of metal with the delicacy of form, creating collections with naturalistic motifs borrowed from plants (brambles, hydrangeas, ginko, mistletoe, currants, orchids) or animals (butterflies). Some of his pieces are held in the jewelry gallery of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and in the collections of the Fonds national d'art contemporain.
