1969 FIAT DINO 2000 Serial number: 0002597 - Rebuilt in 2023 - Mythical engine - Bodywork to be revised - French registration If the Ferrari Dino series is well known, its Fiat counterpart is a little less so. Yet their history is inextricably linked. It was in the 1960s that Fiat acquired a stake in the prancing-horse brand. At the time, the company wanted to homologate its new Dino engine (initiated by Dino Ferrari, Enzo's son). To do so, a minimum of 500 cars had to be produced. Production of the Fiat Dino began in 1967. A cabriolet was available, together with a coupé designed by Bertone. The car was initially powered by the 2.0L engine. In 1969, it was reworked and fitted with the 2.4L with cast-iron block and aluminum cylinder head (the two blocks coexisted in the catalog). Horsepower increased from 160 to 180. Without succession, 7,651 units of the Fiat Dino, all body styles and engines combined, were produced. The car we're presenting today is one of the 3670 2.0L Dino coupes. Not very common, then! It's in fair condition, but the bodywork shows signs of corrosion and will need to be overhauled. As for the mechanics, which were immobilized for a long time, they were re-started and overhauled in 2023. 1969 FIAT DINO 2000 Serial number: 0002597 - Rebuilt in 2023 - Mythical engine - Bodywork to be revised -French registration While the Ferrari Dino series is very well known, its Fiat counterpart is a little less so.
