Much of the correspondence recounts the life of the "Iziumski" hussar regiment in exile "The regiment is in oblivion (...) the only star that attracts everyone is the remains of the regimental fund." Andrei Balashov shares his memories of General Vrangel: "In his office was a large tricolor flag with ribbons of the Romanov family and ribbons of St. George. The walls were covered with photographs and memorabilia. In the living room was the only relic of the famous boat Loukoull - its icon and then its lifebuoy. When I left his house, I felt as if I'd just left a cathedral, it was so moving. When, on the first day of the funeral, I approached his coffin, I saw him so beautiful and tranquil (...) it was striking." Constantin von Rosenshild-Pauline is also a member of the Russian Truth Brotherhood. "I see you're a brother too. I joined them a few years ago (...) thanks to an acquaintance in Stavropole, I managed to organize the assassination of a Communist (shot in the name of the Brotherhood)."
