Liliane and Fred Funcken form a unique and inseparable couple in the world of comics. In the 60s and 70s, they worked on numerous series with historical themes (Le chevalier blanc, Harald le viking, Doc Silver, Capitan, lieutenant Burton, etc.) in a realistic style for the newspaper Tintin. They also worked extensively on the "Les costumes les armes" series, leaving a colossal 18-volume body of work.
