REMARKABLE CHALE known as Manila. Ivory silk crepe embroidered on both sides (no reverse) in polychrome pastel shades (pink, mauve, parma). A profusion of planters and bamboo trellises with flowers and birds, repeated at the four corners of the shawl. Counter-border with vases and flower baskets. Border with garland of flowers. Beautiful grid fringe (a few stains). Circa 1880. 130 x 130 cm. H. bangs: 55 cm.
