1977 MOTOBECANE
Type LT3
Serial number: 25302847
125 cm3
9 852 € invoices
Collector's registration
2 000 / 3 000 €
MOTOBECANE introduced its first two-stroke twin in 1969. The LT3 appeared in the catalog in 1975. This little 125 had more than enough power to compete with the Japanese models, with a powerful engine and a good chassis. A new look with a new fuel tank and no chrome panels, replaced by self-adhesive decals. Back to Ceriani for the fork, now fitted with a 260 mm diameter Grimeca stainless steel disc brake. The ignition key is now located on the right-hand headlight lug. Mudguards are slightly reduced in size, with the front fixed by a new deep-drawn metal rod. The LT3 will be the last in the line.
The model shown was registered on November 24, 1977. Its second owner bought it in 1979 and kept it until 2015, when Mr. Mauret took possession of it. He then proceeded to restore it. Nearly €10,000 will be spent on the restoration. A file of photos of the restoration will be given to the purchaser.
We recommend that future purchasers carry out the usual restarts required by the immobilization of these machines in the collector's museum.
