Arrigo Orsi, tuberculosis doctor and university lecturer, dedicates to photography with an attitude which is difficult to define. Author of writings on experimental printing techniques, and co-founder with Piero De Blasi, Pietro Donzelli, and Luigi Veronesi of the “Unione Fotografica” which in the post-war period organized the first international exhibitions at Palazzo Brera, as a photographer he transitions from landscapes to portraits, still life, abstract images, and medical subjects, from themes of social relevance to abstract ones. The images presented here are an example of his taste for experimentation applied to black and white printing. This lot is subject to Artists Resale Rights
