Beautiful Edo period Japanese armor breastplate with shoulder pads and thigh protection plates, The sheet metal breastplate is covered on the front with strong brown grain leather and bears an embossed brass leaf kamon from the Tokugawa clan (representing three Asaret leaves with separate stems, "asarum caulecsens"). The breastplate is complete with eri mawashi shoulder strap and 5 golden thigh protection strips with scalloped edges, linked by fir-green silk braiding. (Condition 2)
