Pretty Persian shamshir. Flat-backed steel blade highlighted with a gutter and lightened by a groove, terminal counter-edge. A cartouche engraved and inlaid on the right side of the blade's ricasso bears a text and a stylized lion. Steel mounting, symmetrical diamond-shaped cruciform with concave sides and gold inlay decoration. Stock spindle, blond horn plates. An engraved brass leaf runs along the sole plates. Wooden scabbard covered with embossed leather and decorated with reliefs. Steel bolt with gold koftgari decoration of an elephant and its mahout on a foliage background on each side. Two iron bracelets, also engraved, with two fixed rings. Total length: 1010mm (Condition 1-)
