* The vellum leaf is mounted on the face of the famous historical scene of the Queen of Persia before Alexander. Fine gilded and applied Burgau ornamentation of mother-of-pearl and straw marquetry. Mounted in ivory carved in bas-relief, pierced and gilded. The central medallion of the throat depicts a Roman warrior with his lady, while the rest of the throat cartouches feature birds and flowering vases.
